Mail Box: Hyderabad Railway Station

Hyderabad Railway Station

Hyderabad being the second largest city of Sindh, the Hyderabad railway station is one of the main railway stations connecting the city to all parts of Pakistan. But unfortunately, the condition of this railway station is terrible.

The railway station is surrounded by garbage and because of that waste, the whole area has become polluted. The waiting rooms and the sitting arrangements for the passengers, especially for ladies, are also awful. There is no facility available for drinking water and the condition of washrooms is horrible.

Therefore, I request the government to take necessary steps to improve the situation.

Why Girls` Schools Are Being Burnt

We all are very aware of the situation that some terrorist forces are burning girls` schools in Swat area on the basis of Islam. They ought to know that Islam and Sunnah allow girls to be educated and they have equal rights as compared to boys. Neither girls should be treated like slaves, nor should they be left illiterate. After all girls are the source to future generations and we obviously don`t want them to be uneducated and illiterate because only a literate person can make a difference between right or wrong.

I expect that the government would take immediate action against this terrorism because this can also ruin the future of our country and can be a dangerous thing for us.

Admission Woes

Though education is a very noble profession, the prospect of profit-making associated with schooling these days has made imparting education nothing less than a business. After completing O` levels or matric, students apply to a number of institutions for A` levels or intermediate that are deemed meritorious, but they face a lot of problems as admission dates are not uniform in all institutions. The dead line for fee submission arrives while the other school`s results are  still pending which might be of a higher preference for the student. They don`t know whether to take the risk and wait for the institution of their choice or not. Caught in this web a student might resort to the use of source.

I would like to request the private institutions to keep the career of students before personal gains and coordinate with each other to set one date for announcing results.

At the same time I will also request the education department to intervene and take strict measure and prevent institutions from playing with our youth`s future just for the sake of making a few extra bucks. Every student has a right to education in the institution of their choice.

Oil And Gas Exploration  In Balochistan

Oil and gas is very important for energy and transportation. Pakistan`s daily oil production is only 25 per cent of the total daily need of Pakistan, and we have to import huge quantities of oil to meet our need.

Balochistan is one of the unexplored zones of Pakistan which has unbelievable amounts of oil and gas beneath its surface. Former President Ayub Khan allowed British Petroleum to start exploration in Makran, Balochistan. British Petroleum succeeded to explore oil in Buleda, a small town north of Turbat city where they found reasonable amounts of hydrocarbons but later they abandoned the well just because of some political reasons.

Now, it`s up to Pakistan government and the oil exploration companies working in Pakistan to explore this black gold to help reduce this price hike and develop Pakistan`s energy sector.
