ISLAMABAD The central leader of PML-N, Ahsan Iqbal has condemned the American missile attack in Bannu and considered such attacks a defamation of Parliament and a disgrace to the nation.

While speaking to the media outside Parliament House, Ahsan Iqbal said that an American newspaper (Washington Post) published the news that American Attacks in Pakistani territory were attempted after a acceptance by the Pakistani government. He said that if the news was wrong than the government should sue the newspaper otherwise it would be a sign of the governments involvement in such attacks.

After the Tribal Areas, now such attacks have been transferred to other cities of the country, meanwhile the government is only playing the role of a silent spectator. Such attacks are not only a defamation of the Parliament resolution but a disgrace to the nation. The government is only recording verbal protests while innocent citizens are being killed. If such attacks are a conspiracy to violate international peace then it should be exposed, he added.

Ahsan Iqbal said that protest of the government was meaningless until there was any sincerity. He said that the opposition would protest strictly in the Parliament and if the government did not take the protest seriously then a public campaign would be run.
