HYDERABAD, Dec 8 District Nazim Kanwar Naveed Jamil said that a Geographical Information System (GIS) had been introduced for an effective implementation of the ongoing development work in the district.

He said that work on the project in question was under way and as soon as it got completed the system would be linked with the district government`s website www.hyderabad.gov.pk.

Mr Jamil said that entire information about Hyderabad would be made available on the website, which would not only benefit the locals but would also prove to be very helpful to the tourists.

The district nazim made these observations at a briefing about the GIS held at his secretariat. Member development committee, Farooq Qureshi, chairman works committee, Munawar Khanzai, deputy project director, Abdul Maalik Khatri and other concerned officials of the district government attended the briefing.

The nazim said that for data upload and any changes or corrections in the GIS, UC nazims would also be taken onboard.
