GUJRANWALA, June 15: As many as 58,740 candidates out of 111,986 have been declared successful at a ratio of 52.45 per cent in matriculation examination 2002.
Local Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Chairman Dr Muhammad Aslam Ghauri and controller examination Abid Saleem Khan on Saturday announced the result at the board’s complex.
In science group, Wasif Jamal (Roll No 75148) and Muhammad Omar Nasim (Roll No 75134) of Municipal Model High School for Boys, Muslimabad, secured first and second positions by obtaining 788 and 781 marks, respectively. Asim Shafiq (Roll No 81973) of Pakistan International Public School for Boys and Ayesha Ghaffar (Roll No 70212) of Jadid Dastagir Ideal Girls High School shared third positions by securing 779 marks each.
In general group, Abid Ali (Roll No 57919) of Mehar Singh village (private candidate) secured first position by obtaining 718 marks, Hafiz Muazzam Furqan (Roll No 111878) of Jadid Dastagir Ideal High School for Boys secured second position by obtaining 694 marks and Akhtar Ali (Roll No 110338) of Government Islamia High School No 1, Eminabad, bagged third position by scoring 681 marks.
Among girls, Sidra Shaheen (Roll No 100410) of Government Girls High School, Mubarak Colony, secured first position by obtaining 748 marks, Rifat Aziz (Roll No 99365) of Government Muslim Model Girls High School, Nausher Road, secured second position by scoring 740 marks and Kaneez Fatima (Roll No 105414) of Government Islamia Girls High School, Daska, bagged third position with 739 marks.
