THATTA, Dec 30 Awami Tehrik chief Rasool Bux Palijo on Tuesday advised Sindhis not to rely on feudal lords-cum-politicians for bringing any change in the standard of their life, and urged them to get united to achieve their rights.

Speaking at an oath-taking ceremony of the office-bearers of Sindhi Shagird Tehrik, the party`s student wing, at Awami House in Makli, Mr Palijo said that it was high time that Sindhis united and took their destiny in their own hands.

He said that under a conspiracy, the education system of the province was being destroyed and Sindhi students were not being allowed admission to educational institutions in Karachi.

He said that globally, dominating nations were coming under increasing pressure from their deprived population and those who believed in revolution were reorganising themselves. The deprived nations of this country should also reorganise themselves, he said.

He said that feudal elements were enemies of the deprived masses and they had kept all state resources under their control. They were always on a lookout for opportunities to grab ministries and more power by hooks or crooks, Mr Palijo said.

He said that such power mongers had maintained the dictatorial policy of Musharraf regime and failed to restore either the judiciary or the old districts.

The jobless youth were running from pillar to post for jobs and the skyrocketing inflation had ripped apart the fabric of society, he said.

The elected Waderas did not utter even a word in protest against the conspiracies being hatched against Sindh, he said, adding that such man-made crises could only be overcome through unity.
