ISLAMABAD, Jan 1 The Mardan Chamber of Commerce and Industries (MCCI) has urged the government to launch a non-stop Mardan-Lahore rail service on daily basis to provide better travel facilities to traders of the district and other adjoining areas of the NWFP.

In this connection, a six-member delegation, headed by MCCI president Naseemur Rehman, called on Federal Minister for Railways Ghulam Ahmad Bilour here on Thursday.

The delegation apprised the minister about problems being faced by traders of Mardan while travelling from Mardan to Lahore.

They said the rail service between Mardan and Lahore would address the issue.

The minister assured the delegation of cooperation in initiation of the new rail service. — APP
