KARACHI, Feb 11 Nine ships carrying soybean meal, containers and to load cement are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was fairly active where seven ships, Lucky Carrier to load cement, Bow Fegus to offload aviation gas, Sima Sahba, MOL Kauri, Deja Bhum, APL Yokohama and MOL Affinity to unload and unload containers were berthed after the departure of six.

The departing ships were led by MOL Kauri, Deja Bhum, C.S. Cihan, APL Yokohama, Elenit and Faial, while Sima Sehba, Alpha, Kota Hormat, MOL Affinity, APL Sokhna, New York Star and Lucky Carrier are due to sail out on Thursday.

A total tonnage of 93,295 tons comprising 41,295 tons of export cargo and 51,595 tons on import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Thursday Chembulk New York with 6,500 tons of soybean meal, Gulf Tiger, oil, Dolphina to unload 14,000 tons of palm oil, APL Balboa, Kota Lambai with containers, Adriatic Arrow to load cement, Thor Hawk with general cargo and Union Bonita with project cargo.

KARACHI, Feb 11 Three ships carrying containers and chemicals were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, six more ships to load/offload containers, rice, vegetable oil, palm oil and diesel oil also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Eight ships, Maersk Dulles, Hong Kong Senator, Nobil, Irene E.M, Holy Light, Sc Liaoning, Suzanne and Waimea, were busy in loading/offloading various commodities. A cargo volume of 57,829 tons comprising 54,230 tons of import and 3,599 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Maersk Georgia, Maersk Dulles, Hong Kong Senator and Sc Liaoning sailed out while Nobil, Irene E.M and Suzanne were expected to leave the port.
