HYDERABAD PPP activists staged protest demonstrations across Sindh on Thursday against the torching of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto`s memorial in Rawalpindi and the portraits of Ms Bhutto and Asif Ali Zardari in Lahore and raised slogans against Nawaz Sharif.

Demonstrations were staged in all major cities of Sindh including Hyderabad, Nawabshah, Badin, Khairpur, Jacobabad and Naushahro Feroze.

Protesters blocked the press club road in Hyderabad by staging a sit-in and raised full throated slogans of Jeay Benazir Bhutto and Asif Ali Zardari.

The protestors said that PPP will not tolerate any insult to the portraits of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto and president Zardari. They warned PML-N leaders of retaliation if the torching of portraits of PPP leaders was not stopped.

They said that Sharif Brothers had been disqualified by the apex court and not the PPP government. They said that PML-N was making it a political issue and playing dirty politics which is not acceptable.

They said that the PML-N activists should not take advantage of the patience of PPP workers and said that such acts would not be tolerated in future.

They demanded of the PML-N leadership to apologize to the nation for their shameful actions.
