LARKANA, June 27: Ghinwa Bhutto, chairperson of the PPP(SB) and Pakistan National Conference, has said that she would vehemently oppose the condition of graduation for candidates in general elections.

Speaking at a reception, hosted by Zulfikar Jokhio, the general secretary of the SPSF(SB), Larkana district, in Nazar Mohalla here on Wednesday, she rejected the government’s decision and said that it matched the colonial laws of British era.

Ghinwa Bhutto expressed her astonishment over the idea of 2 per cent graduates representing the 98 per cent non-graduate peasants, labourers and others.

She remarked that the ruling cliques, graduated and educated at Oxford, had given nothing but ‘betrayal’ to their countrymen. She criticized such people and observed that they filled their coffers and fled the country.

Advising people to make wise and right decision while choosing their leaders in the upcoming elections, Ghinwa Bhutto pledged her fight till last drop of blood for the rights of the poor.

“We want to build a country where people could see the supremacy of law and live with honour and dignity. Every citizen should feel proud of being a Pakistani,” she said.

Seema Rafique, Sardar Taj Muhammed Domki, Kulsoom Chandio, Saeed Ahmed Bhutto, Dr Sikandar Jatoi and others accompanied her at the reception.
