KU basketball trials on Saturday

KARACHI, March 24 Final trials to pick Karachi University boys` team for the Inter-university Zone F basketball tournament will be held at the KU gymnasium on Saturday at 2.00pm.

The selection committee is headed by Karim Mughal, Principal, Government College of Physical Education. Other members of the committee are Zafar Mahmood, DPE Sirajuddolah College and Abdul Nasir, DPE Adamjee Science College.

The Zone F competition will be held at the NED University from April 1.

Six teams that will vie for honours include Karachi University, Iqra University, Sir Syed University, Biztek University, Aga Khan University and Hamdard University.

Similarly, the zone H competition also takes place at the NED University from April 1.

The zone consist of eight teams namely Greenwich University, NED University, Mehran University, Liaquat Medical University, Textile University, Szabist University, Isra University Hyderabad and Quetta University.

The final round will also be staged in the city from April 8. Punjab University won the tournament last year beating Karachi University in the final.
