HYDERABAD: Resignation accepted

HYDERABAD, April 7 Managing Director, Sindh Irrigation Authority has accepted the resignation of Secretary Ghulam Nabi Mughal.

This was disclosed by the spokesman of Sida through a press statement issued on Tuesday.

Secretary to General Manager, Research and Development, Dr Mumtaz Sohag had been assigned additional duties, said the statement.

Noted short story writer, Ghulam Nabi Mughal resigned from his post on April 3.

According to sacked Sida workers, the secretary opted to resign than to sign termination orders of 50 employees who were ultimately sacked. —Bureau
