BAHAWALPUR, April 10 The Punjab government has earmarked 50 acres of land in Bahawalnagar for the construction of Islamia University sub-campus there.

According to a university press release, IUB Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Belal A Khan, during his visit to the sub-campus on Thursday, inspected the site on Minchinabad Road.

DEMO Pharmacy students of the Islamia University protested against the poor results on Friday and staged a sit-in outside the department at Khwaja Farid, Railway Road, campus.

According to protesters, out of total 82 candidates 24 were declared fail. The head of the department rejected the students` demand.
