NAWABSHAH, April 13 The family of a slain estate agent has appealed to the chief justice of Pakistan to take notice of police failure to arrest the killers.

At a press conference at the press club here on Monday, Mohammad Luqman Dahiri, brother of deceased Mukhtiar Dahiri, said that his brother dealt in real estate. About 18 days back, Mohammad Ali Brohi called his brother and asked him to reach Katcha Pakka stop on Sath Meel road to collect his payment of Rs1.2 million and sign the registry documents.

He said that when his brother and he himself, along with Abdul Aziz and Wazir Dahiri reached Katcha Pakka bridge, the accused was present there along with sub-inspector Attaullah Brohi, Punhal Jamali and another unidentified person. He said that his brother went to collect the money while they kept waiting in the car.

He said that the accused first asked him to sign the documents and as soon as he did it, the accused opened straight fire on him as well as on their car. He said that they went down the road and saved their lives while the accused escaped from the scene along with their car. He said that his brother received several bullet injuries and died on the spot.

He said that they approached the police and lodged an FIR but the police have failed to arrest any killers so far.

He alleged that an influential landlord and nazim of the area was pressuring the police against arresting the accused and threatening us to withdraw the case, otherwise they would also be killed.

He said that they had approached MNA Faryal Talpur who directed the Benazir Abad DPO to immediately arrest the accused but nothing has been done so far.

He appealed to Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry to take notice of the incident and provide justice to them.

Our Naushahro Feroze correspondent reports A woman appealed to the chief justice of Pakistan on Monday to help recover her husband`s 16-year-old sister who was allegedly kidnapped by her relatives on April 8.

Speaking at a press conference at her house, Ms Gulnaz Pari said that her paternal uncle Ghulam Mustafa Shah, Chuttal Shah and their accomplices kidnapped Sumal when they were at her (Gulnaz) grandfather`s house in Phull town on April 8.

She said that her uncle had taken revenge from her husband for moving the court when she, under his pressure, had refused to go with her husband Manzoor Shah who had come to take her back.

Manzoor had filed an application with sessions judge Naushahro Feroze but her uncle allowed her to go to him before the court took up the case.

She said that her uncle and Chuttal Shah had clearly declared that they were kidnapping Sumal in revenge. They also robbed valuable belongings besides kidnapping the girl, she alleged.

Ms Gulnaz alleged that her own father was also killed by her relatives and her uncle Ghulam Mustafa Shah had got received huge amount in compensation from the man who was responsible fro killing his father in an accident.

She blamed her relatives for her father`s death and it was said he had died in an accident but actually it was a conspiracy.

Sumal`s father Mubarak Ali Shah was also present at the press conference and endorsed his daughter-in-law`s allegations.
