HYDERABAD Candidates who have passed the provincial commission examination for the post of lecturers held a demonstration outside the press club here on Sunday to protest against delay in the issuance of posting orders.

Speaking on the occasion, Shafiq Ahmed Shahani and Khadim Hussain said they had been protesting for a year against the delay, but no one had taken notice of the issue.

They said that even the Sindh High Court had given a decision in their favour and the prime minister had given a categorical assurance on the floor of the National Assembly for their appointments, but the Sindh government had not taken any action. They have passed the Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) exam.

They said thousands of the posts of lecturers were lying vacant in different colleges, describing the delay as a conspiracy against the education in Sindh.

They appealed to the superior judiciary to take notice of their problems.
