MARDAN, April 19 Four persons, including a man and his son, were gunned down, whereas four others sustained bullet injuries in different parts of the district on Sunday.

Police said that two outlaws attacked a man going in a marriage procession in Rustam village, killing him on the spot. The victim was identified as Sardar Hussain. Three other persons were also injured in the firing.

They were taken to a local hospital. The accused were identified as Nawab Sher alias Megey and Rehman Sher.

FIR against the two accused was registered at Rustam Police Station.

In another incident, a man and his son were killed at Takedar Kelley, while another son of his was injured, when they were trying to make a compromise between a man and his wife in their neighbourhood.

The victims included Taza Gul and his son Ikhtiar Gul. The couple was identified as Nadeem and Tahira Begum.

Sources said that Nadeem allegedly fired at his wife and sons, but unfortunately the bullets hit Taza Gul and Ikhtiar Gul killing them both on the spot.

The injured man was identified as Subhani Gul. Choora Police Station registered a case against the couple on the report of the injured, Subhani Gul.

Nadeem was stated to have escaped the area after the incident.

Meanwhile, at Muhib Banda, a man was killed allegedly by his neighbours over a petty dispute.

The victim, Zahirullah was also tortured. The accused were identified as Saifullah and Ghazan.
