RAWALPINDI, May 4 Four persons were killed in different incidents, while another jobless man attempted suicide by shooting himself, police said on Monday.

Mohammad Saddique, was shot dead by some unidentified persons outside his house in Razaq Town (Westridge) on Monday.

Police said Jhangeer Khan, the brother-in-law of the deceased complained to the police that Saddique was shot and killed by some unknown persons. The little daughter of the deceased spotted her father lying in the street in a pool of blood and informed her uncle.

Police said the motive behind the murder was not known. The body was shifted to hospital by the police for postmortem.

In another incident, Arshad Khan was found strangled in his house in Chontra. Police suspected that Ms Saima, the wife of the deceased and two other persons Zafar Iqbal and his wife Farhat Bibi were involved in the murder.

Earlier, it was reported that he was killed accidentally but later it emerged that the man was strangled, police said.

Meanwhile, two motorcyclists were killed in a road accident in Pirwadhai area, police said.

Nasim Shah and Aqueel Ahmed were going home on their motorbike when a truck hit them killing Nasim on the spot and injuring Aqueel.

The critically injured Aqueel was removed to hospital where he died. The truck driver escaped while the police impounded the vehicle.

Mohammad Fiaz, attempted suicide by shooting himself with his father's pistol in his house in Muslim Town.

Police said Fiaz had been in distress since his efforts to get a job failed. He went into his room and attempted suicide by shooting himself with a pistol. On hearing the gunshot, his parents rushed to his rescue.
