MULTAN, July 8: Jatoi police have obtained physical remand for seven days of chief juror Faiz Bakhsh and main accused Khaliq Mastoi to interrogate them in the Meerwala gang-rape case.

The police presented both the accused before a duty magistrate, Rana Ashfaq, on Sunday night and requested the court to grant their physical remand for eight days. The magistrate, however, allowed the remand for seven days and directed the police to produce them before the court on July 15.
