KARACHI, June 9 Talented Nameer Shamsi has put in his best efforts as he is on course for a maiden triple crown in the Maroof Trophy tennis tournament at the Beach View Club on Tuesday.

Top seed Nameer, a junior international, set a date with second seed Uzair A. Qadir for the boys' under-15 singles crown after they romped home over their opponents in convincing fashion on the penultimate day.

Nameer squeezed past contemporary and junior international Adil Kohari 6-3, 6-1 while Uzair gave 6-1, 6-2 drubbing to Talha Zubair Surmawala.

Nameer also powered his way into juniors' under-17 singles final again overcoming Adil Kohari 7-6, 6-3 and faces top seed Mustafa Zaidi who beat Murtazain 6-1, 2-0 (retired).
