ISLAMABAD, June 22 Sara Mansoor cruised into the final of the Pakistan Master Invitational Women's tennis championship, creating a stir in the event after defeating Saba Aziz in the semi-final here on Monday.

An energetic Sara proved too good for her opponent in the battle of nerves and stamina.

Sara showed her perseverance of playing under pressure winning the match 7-5, 6-2, 6-2.

A university student, Sara, displayed her power of perfection in almost all the departments and did not give much needed room to her opponent in the three-hour battle.

Sara will now be seen in action in the final of the championship against Sara Mahboob on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, in a one-sided affair, Sara Mahboob advanced into the final defeating Ushna Sohail from Lahore 6-1, 6-4.

In the juniors event, Waqas Malik and Faizan Khurram made it to the final.

In the first semi-final, Faizan created an upset of the tournament defeating Heera Ashiq in thrilling two sets.

Heera choked under pressure as Faizan played some powerful forehand and backhand shorts from the baselines.

In the first it was six-all as both the players held their respective services.

The set was decided on tie break later clinched by Faizan.

Faizan won the second set in the same style, breaking the 11th game of the second set.

In the day's second semi-final, Waqas Malik clinched his match against Mohammad Abid of Lahore in the two-hour fixture.
