ISLAMABAD, June 24 Eleven matches were decided on the opening day of the Subh-e-Nau Women's National tennis championship at the PTF Complex here on Wednesday.

Sara Mahboob, Sara Mansoor, Fatima Mansoor, Shahida Farooq, Saba Aziz and Ushna Sohail swiftly reached the next round after getting byes.

Aizazuddin defeated Salman Bin Saleem 6-2, 7-6 (3) in the first round of juniors' competition.

Kashan-ul-Haq proved too good for Hamza Gondal winning his fixture 6-3, 6-4.

Fahad Nazir, Malik Abdul Rehman, Sajid Ali, Mohammad Abid Ali, Durrab Babar, Farhad Ali Raja, Ameer Hamza, Ahmed Chaudhry and Usman Rafique also cleared the first hurdle.
