KHAIRPUR A young woman reached Ranipur police station on Friday to seek protection.

Ms Mirzadi, 22, of Umerkot district told police that her relatives had declared her Kari and wanted to kill her. She was given in woman police custody.

Police sources said Mirzadi would be produced in the court on Saturday for recording her statement.

Meanwhile, residents of village Moula Bux protested against police for not arresting the accused involved in the rape of a deaf girl, Samina Kori.
