LAHORE, July 21 National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) won the women team event of the Amir Abdullah Khan Rokhri Ranking badminton tournament by thrashing Wapda 3-0 in the final on Tuesday.

Ayesha Akram of the NBP defeated Uzma Butt of Wapda 21-16, 21-15 in the first singles match.

In the other singles, Sara Khan overcame Sadia 21-16, 21-14.

In the doubles, Ayesha Akram and Palwasha faced tough resistance from Sadia and Farzana Ali before defeating them 14-21, 21-11, 21-16.

In men's semi-finals, Wapda outclassed Sindh 3-0 whereas NBP beat New Khan 3-2.
