LAHORE, July 25 While a 66th minute goal from Amir helped Karachi Electric Supply Corporation (KESC) to play a four-all draw against Habib Bank Limited (HBL), a 68th-minute goal by Mohammad Imran enabled Army to register a 1-1 draw against defending champions PIA in the NBP Gold Cup hockey tournament at the National Hockey Stadium here on Saturday.

KESC were 2-1 up in the first half but found themselves at the losing end at 4-3 when Aqeel Hussain struck a goal in the 57th minute. Still, Amir's goal restored the parity which continued till the final whistle.

For HBL the scorers were Ali Azlan (first minute), Zubair Ahmad (41st and 46th mins), Aqeel Hussain (57th min). For KESC, Qayyum (sixth and 23rd mins), Saqlain (36th min) and Amir (66th min) found the net.

Mehmood Ali (63rd min) scored first for Army before Imran struck for PIA in the 68th minute in another tough match between Army and the national carriers that saw both teams remaining goalless in the first half.

In other matches, Pakistan Steel Mills beat Navy 2-1. While Mohammad Imran (29th min) and Sarfraz Ahmad (34th min) scored for the winners, Rao Nadeem (19th min) struck for the losers.

Police beat Punjab 5-0. The goals were scored by Atif Baig (20th and 31st mins), Tasawar Abbas (23rd min), Farzan Ali (33rd min) and Waqas Omer (65th min).

NBP also earned a 3-1 win against Pakistan Air Force (PAF). Tariq Aziz (second min), Akhtar Ali (59th min) and Abdul Haseem Khan (62nd min) were the scorers for NBP. Kashif Yaqoob (12th min) scored PAF's lone goal.

Port Qasim Authority beat Sindh 6-0 with Shahzad Hanif (10th, 33rd and 48th mins), Azhar (39th and 42nd mins) and Awais Khan (49th min) as the scorers.
