QUETTA, Aug 7 Chief Justice of the Balochistan High Court Justice Qazi Faez Isa left for Islamabad on Friday to meet Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry to finalise the names of five lawyers to be appointed as judges in the BHC.

The new judges are likely to take their oaths on Monday.

Earlier, talking to reporters after attending a reception organised by the Balochistan Bar Association and the Balochistan High Court Bar Association in his honour, Justice Isa said the court would not allow violation of the law. He said that improved cooperation between the bench and the bar would ensure provision of justice to people and serve to address their grievances.

He said that he had not shown any interest in becoming a chief justice, but now that he had been entrusted with the task of heading a high court he would do his best to dispense justice to people.

Justice Isa said he had asked the registrar of the court to ensure that no complainant who wished to meet him was turned away. He said the judges of the civil and sessions courts had also been directed to address the grievances of the complainants.

BBA president Amanullah Baloch, BHCBA president Shakeel Ahmed Hadi and a large number of lawyers were present on the occasion.
