KARACHI, Aug 17 The Chief Justice of Sindh High Court, Justice Sarmad Jalal Osmany, on Monday adjourned the hearing of an application for letters of probate in respect of the legacy of the late PPP leader Benazir Bhutto.

President Asif Ali Zardari, PPP chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Bakhtawar Zadari Bhutto and Asifa Zardari Bhutto said in an application that the letters of probate were required to inherit the assets held by Ms Bhutto abroad.

As the application came up for hearing, the chief justice asked the applicants' counsel that it was not accompanied by a list of properties owned by the late prime minister as required by the rules.

The SHC office had also raised an objection in this regard.

The chief justice adjourned the hearing for August 24 to enable the applicants to fulfil the requirement.
