SARGODHA, Aug 24 Six terrorists having links with the Baitullah Mehsud network were arrested here on Monday.

DPO Dr Usman Anwar told reporters that four of the terrorists arrested were brothers, Zahid Mustafah, Ikram Rabbani, Mohammad Abu Bakar and Farook of Chak 33-SB. He identified the other two as Mohammad Shoaib and Abu Bakar of Chiniot.

He said the militants were planning to attack security installations and police headquarters.

They also planned to attack an imambargah in Chiniot and a religious congregation in Rabwa.

The DPO said that suicide jackets and a large quantity of arms and ammunition and explosive material had been seized.

Sources said that security personnel had arrested four terrorists who were going to Sargodha from Kundian by train about two weeks ago.

The two other were nabbed on information provided by the four brothers.
