Man kills five of his family in Mardan

MARDAN A man allegedly gunned down five members of his family in the Taja village, 35 kilometres from here on Thursday.

Police said that accused Manazir Khan opened firing on his family members his wife Seema, brother Wajid, sister-in-law Shagufta Begum, nephew Sahir Khan and niece Aqila Bibi, killing them on the spot.

The cause of the killing was stated to be some domestic issue.

A close relative of the victims, identified as Raseema, has lodged FIR against the accused at the Rustam police station however he escaped after the incident.
