FAISALABAD The district government has installed computers at its 16 Ramazan bazaars to bring online complete particulars of every consumer getting flour and sugar.

The step has been taken after a meeting in which arrangements at Ramazan bazaars and sale of flour were reviewed. DCO Saeed Iqbal, while chairing the meeting, informed the participants that the computer system had been launched at every Ramazan bazaar to ensure transparent and fair distribution of subsidised flour and sugar in the district under the special Ramazan package.

He said the details of every buyer would be entered in the computer database that would help arrest the trend of double purchases and profiteering. He asked the in-charge officers of all Ramazan bazaars to start computerised system without delay.
