KARACHI, Sept 6 Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) took another step towards final of the fifth AKU Sports Centre Twenty20 Ramazan Colour-kit cricket tournament after easing past AKU Faculty & Staff by 15 runs at the AKU Ground on Saturday.

After electing to bat first, the bankers made 162-8 with opener Usman Farhat leading the way once again. This time the left-hander contributed 41 off 30 balls with the aid of two fours and one six.

Faisal Waqar (35 off 25 balls, three sixes and two fours and Asif Manzar (30 off 27, two boundaries) also played good hands for DIB. Hussain Andani was the pick of the home team bowlers with figures of 4-19 in four overs.

Dr Jahangir Khan was the mainstay of AKU Faculty & Staff batting with a 52-ball 65 as the hosts finished at 147-6 in reply. Zeeshan Pasha and Ammar Zaidi took two wickets each while Usman claimed 1-23 and was named man-of-the-match.
