Manufacture of i-Phones in Pakistan

Published September 13, 2009

IN the field of mobile communication, iPhone is the most-sought-after commodity these days. This wonder phone is the first Internet-enabled smart phone produced by Apple Company. Besides features like iPod/MP3 player, video playback, wireless Internet and a digital camera, it has an innovative feature of a 3.5-inch multi-touch screen which is a boon for a mobile phone user.

There was a golden opportunity for Pakistani businessmen in the 1990s to venture into the manufacture of mobile phones in collaboration with a world-renowned mobile phones manufacturing company and capture a sizable market share in this part of the world.

But due to their lack of knowledge or ambition to become rich overnight they have squandered this opportunity.

On the other hand, India ventured into this profitable business and is way ahead of us, producing one of the best, world-class mobile phones in collaboration with a renowned company like Nokia.

It's time our businessmen woke up to the requirements of modern-day business.

We have highly competent, technical manpower available at the most competitive rates that could be deployed for the manufacture of this phone. The opportunity should be grabbed by our businessmen without any loss of time. They should come forward and collaborate with the Apple Company for the manufacture of iPhones before we miss on this count as well.

It's time for our businessmen to venture into this highly profitable business as soon as possible.
