LADDAH, Oct 12 The Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan has claimed responsibility for the Saturday's terror attack on the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi and warned that its networks in Punjab and Sindh will carry out more attacks on government installations.

Its spokesman Azam Tariq told this correspondent that the attack on the GHQ was the work of Taliban's Punjab wing, masterminded by its chief Amjad Farooqi.

He claimed that the TTP had networks in all the provinces. The attack on the GHQ, he said, was to avenge the killing of Baitullah Mehsud, adding that he believed security forces would not commit “mistake of invading Waziristan.”

Meanwhile, military planes are reported to have bombed several areas in Laddah on Monday evening.
