RAWALPINDI, Oct 17 An anti-terrorism court here on Saturday expressed its annoyance over the delay in the completion of reinvestigation by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) into the assassination of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto.

ATC-I Judge Malik Muhammad Akram Awan, who has been conducting the trial of five arrested accused in central jail Adiala, reprimanded an inspector of the FIA for not submitting the investigation report as directed by the court two weeks ago.

The judge warned Inspector Shoaib that if the agency failed to submit complete investigation report on October 31, no further time would be given to the investigators.

The FIA has sought more time to conclude their investigation into assassination of the former prime minister on December 27, 2007 after the agency launched investigation in August this year calling the findings brought out by a joint investigation team as inconclusive.

Five men - Aitzaz Shah, Sher Zaman, Abdul Rasheed, Hasnain Gul and Rafaqat Hussain - are being tried for their alleged role in planning and execution of a conspiracy to assassinate the former PM.
