NCA Colts overcome Abbottabad

KARACHI, Nov 10 The trio of Usman Qadir, Babar Azam and Mohammad Nawaz produced fine performances as National Cricket Academy (NCA) Colts overpowered Abbottabad by four wickets in an Inter-region Under-19 one-day tournament match at the PCB Academy Ground here on Tuesday.

Opting to bat first, Abbottabad posted 193 all out in 49.5 overs with leg-spinner Usman Qadir claiming four wickets for 30 runs in his 9.5 overs.

NCA Colts, in reply, romped home for the loss of six wickets in 38.2 overs. Opener and captain Babar Azam made an enterprising 81 off 90 balls with eight fours and one six. Mohammad Nawaz hit five fours and one six in his 91-ball 63. Babar and Nawaz added 147 runs for the third wicket after NCA Colts lost Sami Aslam (2) and Ahsan Ali (6).
