THATTA, Jan 3 Of the 31 fishermen released from Indian jails and handed over to Pakistan at the Wagah border, 24 are from Thatta and they will rejoin their families on Tuesday.
These fishermen were taken away from Pakistan's territorial waters between December 2008 and June 2009 along with their catch and motor vessels Al-Rafique, Al-Ahmed and Al-Ibrahim.
The fishermen belong to Aatarkis and Haji Yousuf Katiyar villages, and had been languishing in the Indian jail of Bujj Nagar.
Three brothers Abdul Karim, Abdul Wahid and Mohammad Katiyar are among them.
Pakistan Fisherfolk Forum Chairman Mohammad Ali Shah told Dawn that soon after their arrival in Karachi, they would be taken to their villages late on Tuesday.
