GWADAR Gwadar police have arrested two US consulate employees for traveling on a fake number plate here on Saturday.

Police have also registered a case against them after verification from the excise and taxation department for possessing fake documents, DawnNews reported.

The US Mission in Pakistan has expressed concern over provocative actions and false allegations against US personnel.

In a statement the US Embassy spokesman said that the staff was preparing for the upcoming visit of US development assistance staff to one of Pakistan's most impoverished regions.

But, Balochistans Home and tribal affairs minister Mir Zafarullah Zehri says that police detained the employees of the US Consulate because their vehicle had a fake number plate.
