KARACHI The strength of Rest of Pakistan proved too much for Sialkot as the regional side suffered a crushing 207-run defeat in the RBS Pentangular Cup match at the National Stadium here on Sunday.

After asked to chase 372 on a last-day pitch, Sialkot were not able to withstand the pressure from the strong bowling combination fielded by their opponents and were sent packing in the 49th over for only 164 in the second innings.

Left-arm paceman Junaid Khan, who went wicketless in the first innings, was the main wicket-taker with figures of 4-50 in 18 overs. Lanky speedster Tabish Khan captured 3-46 to finish with a fine match haul of 8-142.

Barring openers Hafiz Majid Jahangir (54 off 99 balls, nine boundaries) and skipper Kamran Younus (27) no other batsman managed to cross the 20-run mark.

Earlier, Rest of the Pakistan declared their second innings at 304-9 after starting the fourth morning at 235-5.
