Homage paid to Benazir Bhutto

HYDERABAD, Jan 12 Sindh Graduate Association in collaboration with Sindh Culture and Tourism Department organised a function here the other day to pay homage to slain chairperson of Pakistan People's Party Benazir Bhutto for her services for democracy and the downtrodden masses of the country.

Sindh Minister for Culture Ms Sassui Palijo who was chief guest at the function said that Benazir Bhutto had struggled for restoration of democracy and the cause of downtrodden masse and finally laid down her very life for the causes she believed in.

She said that she would prepare a strong case for the cause of declaring Sindhi language as a national language and announced Rs3 million grant for the SG.

She promised that her department would construct a ladies' hostel in Islam- abad in collaboration with the SGA. —Bureau
