Aqeel took little time to post 6-0, 6-3 victory over Vinod Das in the first quarter-final.
Later, he was joined by fourth seed Nomi Qamer who got a walkover against Mohammad Abdul Saeed as the latter was exhausted after playing his doubles pre quarter-final together with Mohammad Nasim.
Nine women have entered the ladies singles which is played on knockout pro-set.
