LAHORE, Jan 20 Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan says the nazims will be removed after the passage of the Punjab Local Government (Amendment) Bill by the Punjab Assembly and government officers will replace them as administrators.

Talking to reporters outside the assembly building on Wednesday, he said President Asif Zardari's Punjab visit was full of accusations against political opponents.

He said Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif was returning home on Thursday (today) and “we will see what kind of protest jiyalas (PPP loyalists) would do on the president's protocol issue”.

He said President Zardari visited Punjab as PPP co-chairperson and not as the president.

He said under Article 17 of the Constitution, any person in service of Pakistan could not get membership of a political party what to talk of being its head.

He said legislation about the local bodies would be completed by March or April after which elections would be held.

The law minister said the Governor's House Chowk was presenting the scene of a cinema house during President Zardari's visit as displaying of banners and hoardings on The Mall was illegal.
