Suspect killed in Quetta blast

QUETTA, March 17 A man believed to be member of a proscribed sectarian organisation was killed in an explosion here on Wednesday.

Police sources said the blast took place in a house in Muslim Ittehad Colony in Chalu Bawari area where the deceased, Khalil Ahmed, was staying as a guest of Tariq Barach.

A senior police officer claimed that Khalil was trying to make bombs when the explosion took place.

However, the owner of the house and residents of the area said the blast occurred due to leakage of gas in the guest-room.— Staff Correspondent
