LAHORE The 47th National Table Tennis Championship started at the Wapda Sports Complex here on Tuesday with men's and women's team events taking place.

In all, 150 players are featuring in the event.

The four provinces have been allowed to enter two teams while Islamabad, Habib Bank, Public Works Department (PWD), Railways, Wapda and Army one team apiece.

Wapda is the defending champion of the men's team event while Habib Bank of the women's.

Sindh 'A' bt Balochistan 3-0 (Kamran Sarang bt Sadiq Ali 11-7, 11-6, 11-3; Usman Ahmad bt Kamran Ali 11-3, 11-4, 11-5; Asim Hussain bt Kazim Ali 11-3, 11-3, 11-8).

PWD bt Sindh 'B' 3-0 (Asif Razzaq bt Azeem 11-8, 11-8, 11-5; Nadir Sohail bt Raheel Qurreshi 11-4, 13-11, 11-3; Zulfiqar Ahmad bt Zain Ali 8-11, 14-12, 11-2, 11-5).
