ISLAMABAD Army Chief General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani during a meeting with Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani assured him that the Pakistan Army will fully cooperate in the investigation into the assassination of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.

He added the government will be able to call upon the services of the intelligence agencies as well.

According to government sources, this is the first time that on the behalf of the army, Kayani has assured the government of the cooperation.

The meeting at the Prime Ministers House also discussed issues such as the welfare, the war on terror, the security situation and other army related matters.

Gilani on the occasion said that despite limited sources the government will do everything to further improve the army services.—DawnNews
