Asian Snooker draws announced

KARACHI National champion Mohammad Sajjad and Asjad Iqbal are drawn in groups 'G' and 'F' respectively for the 26th Asian Snooker Championship, being staged in Chanthaburi, Thailand, from May 8 to 15, according to draws available from the Asian Confederation of Billiards Sports (ACBS) on Tuesday.

A five-member Pakistan squad which includes chairman of the Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Association (PBSA) Asghar Valika, secretary Munawar Shaikh (manager) and Shoaib Alam Khan (referee) is due to leave for Bangkok on Friday.

'A' Au Chi Wai (Hong Kong), Sourav Kothari (India), Basem Aboud (Syria), Mohammed Al-Joakar (UAE), Nhat Thanh Nguyen (Vietnam).

'B' Yu Delu (China), Po Hsien-Lee (Taipei), Chan Kwok Ming (Hong Kong), Yutaka Fukuda (Japan), Daophachan Poothabandit (Laos).

'C' Soheil Vahedi (Iran), Habib Subah (Bahrain), Enkhtur Jamsran (Mongolia), Lim Chun Kiat (Singapore), Thanawat Thirapongpaiboon (Tahiland.

'D' Supoj Saenla (Thailand), Chul Ho Hwang (Korea), Nawaf Al-Hamli (Kuwait), Ang Boon Chin (Singapore), Omar Alkojah (Syria).

'E' Muhammed M. Shehab (UAE), Saleh Mohammed (Afghanistan), Muhammad Lababi (Iran), Takao Kurimoto (Japan), Passakorn Suwannawat (Thailand), Ehab Hassan Nassif (Iraq).
