KARACHI, May 26 Country's top under-19 player, Waqas Mehboob, fell prey to third seed Sheikh Saqib in the boys' under-19 pre-final of the inaugural Tughral Shah Khan Memorial National Junior Squash Championship at PN Roshan Khan-Jahangir Khan Squash Complex on Wednesday.

Saqib took 41 minutes to dispose off his opponent 5-11, 11-6, 15-13, 11-6 to ease into final. He is drawn to meet second seed Aurangzeb Mehmund who struggled to beat Hamza Bokhari 11-7, 11-8, 7-11, 9-11, 11-6 in the other match.

Fourth seed Ammad Farid stunned second seed Fazal Mehmood in gruelling battle 11-8, 9-11, 8-11, 11-5, 11-7 to make it to the boys' under-15 final.

In yet another upset, Faizan Khan, a qualifier from Sindh, coasted to 11-13, 11-6, 6-11, 11-6, 11-6 victory over Ahmed Ali Khan of Punjab to reach boys' under-11 final.

In girls', outsider Riffat Khan of Punjab, shocked second seed Zahab Khan of Sindh, straight 11-4, 11-1, 11-6 to move into under-19 final.

All the finals will be played on Thursday.
