QUETTA, May 28 Activists of PML-N took out a procession here on Friday to mark Yaum-i-Takbir.

After passing through different roads the participants of the procession assembled at Manan chowk.

Addressing the gathering, the party's provincial organiser Khuda Noor Khan, Rahim Kakar, Saleem Jadoon and Nizam Khan said that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, despite US pressure, ordered the carrying out of five nuclear tests which made Pakistan the seventh nuclear nation in the world.

They said the tests not only spoiled the dreams of India but also made Pakistan invincible.

Meanwhile, a strike was observed in several areas of Balochistan on a call by the Baloch National Front to condemn nuclear tests carried out in Chagai 12 years ago.

The main bazaar in the city remained closed.

BNF deputy-secretary Mir Sadiq Raisani said the Baloch people observed the black day and strike in Nushki, Chagai, Mustang, Kalat, Khuzdar, Awaran, Hub, Gwadar, Pasni, Panjgur, Kharan, Washak, Turbat, Mand and Sibi.
