QUETTA Unknown gunmen opened fire on New Sariab police station's Investigation Incharge, Deputy Inspector Abdul Wahab and killed him on Saturday. 

Abdul Wahab was attacked by armed men when he was on his way to the police station from his house in Quetta.
 
He was severely wounded by the firing and succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital.

The gunmen escaped after the incident and police officials claimed that this was an act of target killing, which has been going on in Balochistan.
