KARACHI, June 29 Open trials to select the Sindh women football team for the 6th National Women Football Championship will be held at the Karachi University ground here at 3.00pm on Wednesday.

All interested girls are requested to report to Ms Abida Parveen at the venue on the given time. The trials will be watched by Sadia Sheikh, executive member, Pakistan Football Federation (PFF).

Meanwhile, Diya Women Football Club has also qualified from Sindh to feature in the event.

The 14-day event, featuring 19 teams, is slated to commence from July 25 at Islamabad's Jinnah Stadium. Besides Sindh and Diya Women FC the other teams comprise debutant Frontier College of Peshawar, Lahore's Sport Sciences and Rawalpindi's Young Rising Star, Punjab, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, Fata, Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, Army, PIA, PAF, Wapda, Police, HEC and Navy.
