Fahim Gul stunned second seed M. Ayaz and Nasir Iqbal shocked fourth seed Mahad Javed.
KARACHI At least two qualifiers sent seeded players packing as the main round of fourth DG Rangers Sindh National Junior Squash Championship commenced at their squash complex on Wednesday.

Promising Fahim Gul of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa sprang the biggest surprise when he stunned second seed and province mate M. Ayaz in five games to reach boys under-17 quarter-finals.

Fahim recovered from a game down to inflict 6-11, 11-2, 11-7, 7-11, 11-5 victory over his opponent.

Another qualifier Nasir Iqbal of the PAF shocked fourth seed Mahad Javed of Sindh 11-1, 11-6, 11-9 to reach boys' under-19 last eight.

Meanwhile, other seeded players crossed first hurdle by winning their first round fixtures in different boys' categories.

Top seed Shaikh Saquib of Punjab disposed off Muqaddar Shah of KPK 11-7, 13-11, 11-7 to earn a place in boys' under-19 quarters.

Top seed Zoya Khalid and second seed Rushna Mehboob of the ZTBL have got a first round bye in girls' under-19 so does top seed Sadia Gul of PAF.
