SUKKUR: KU incident condemned

SUKKUR, Sept 8: The Islami Jamiat-i-Tulba (IJT), Sukkur, held a protest demonstration against the atrocities committed by the Rangers, against the teachers, professors and the students of the Karachi University in front of the Sukkur Press Club on Sunday.

The protestors were holding banners and placards inscribed with the slogans condemning the barbaric action of the Rangers.

The protestors demanded that the persons responsible for the incident should be removed and the task force should also be withdrawn.

The IJT leaders said the protest demos would also be held in all the educational institutions.

The Nazim, Jamiat Sukkur, Ehsan Hafeez, led the protest demo.

Meanwhile, the president of the PPP’s Women Wing, Khairpur, and candidate for a National Assembly reserved seat, Dr Mehreen Bhutto, has slammed the rangers for baton-charging teachers and girl students of the Karachi University.

Huma Naz Shaikh, a leader of the SDA and candidate for PS-1, Sukkur, also condemned the excesses against teachers and students.

She said it was a shameful incident as the rangers had ruined the dignity of teachers and students.
