KARACHI Navy and Afghan FC registered victories while Baloch FC held National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) to a goalless draw in the three Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL) matches played on Tuesday.

Navy overpowered Army 1-0 at the Municipal Stadium in Rawalpindi with the all-important decider coming as early as in the eighth minute through midfielder Abdul Haq.

Meanwhile, at the Jamal Nasir Stadium in Chaman, Afghan FC put up a fine display in the first half to beat KESC 3-2. Striker Moaz Khan scored first in the 37th minute and midfielder Abdul Hadi consolidated the lead four minutes later (41st min) from a free kick as the home team led 2-0 at interval. Later, the 46th minute saw midfielder Jadeed getting them their third goal.

KESC could only reduce the margin by scoring two goals through Aftab (50th min) and Mohammad Rasool (59th min).

The third match of the day, played at Nushki Stadium, ended in a stalemate between Baloch FC and NBP.

Wednesday's fixture KPT v HBL at KPT-Benazir Sports Complex (Karachi); PIA v SSGC at CDGK Stadium (Karachi). Matches kick off at 4.00pm.
